Jacqueline Ros’ sister was attacked twice by the time she was seventeen years old. Wishing her sister had access to a “magic button” in those situations, Ros developed Revolar, a discrete, wearable, personal security device that can broadcast the wearer’s location with just one button. Sized at 1″ square, the Revolar has a hard shell with a belt loop and a clip so that attaching it under clothing or to keychains is simple. There is an accompanying app that allows a contact list and the ability to disable the alarm once the wearer feels safe.
Ros is also a teacher; she helps Teach for America train first and second year teachers to be their most effective in the classroom.
Ros has a Kickstarter campaign that allows backers to purchase a Revolar for themselves or as gifts.
